For our “Grano Duro” line we only use Italian durum wheat semolina organically grown and ground in Italy.
We choose italian quality wheat, an excellent raw material for making a top-class product and for guaranteeing the delicious flavour and distinctive character of our pasta.
The durum wheat we choose belongs to the “Desert Durum” family a type used by the best Italian pasta manufacturers for the production of “al dente pasta”.
The farming of the wheat we use has come about through the collaboration between grinding businesses and technical experts who have made it possible to grow and develop this variety of durum wheat in different environmental conditions to those of its native lands.
The production techniques have been optimised according to the area and the possible yield, with respect for the restrictions laid down by farming protocols and with the aim of preserving all of the quality and sensory characteristics of the wheat.
•With its distinctive fragrance and delicious flavour, our italian durum wheat semolina pasta is the ideal food for a balanced and healthy diet as it is high in protein, minerals (potassium, iron and phosphorus) and vitamins (thiamine and niacin).
•The presence of carotenoids such as lutein and beta-carotene gives the pasta its distinctive soft yellow colour.
•The toughness of its gluten ensures that it remains firm when cooked.
